Custom development
Custom necklaces & pendants.
Chains, pendants, chokers and layered sets. The category where component matching — link, connector and clasp — decides whether the piece survives daily wear.

KUBO Jewelry produces custom stainless steel necklaces and pendants, including cable, curb, box, rope and Figaro chains in 304 or 316L, with pendants from 8 mm to 40 mm, necklace lengths from 35 cm to 60 cm, lobster or box clasps, and optional PVD coating and laser engraving.
Necklaces are the category where a collection is most often assembled from parts that were never designed to meet. A pendant bought from one factory, hung on a chain from another, with a clasp that matches neither — it photographs well and comes back as a complaint.
Why we produce the chain and pendant together
Matching is a manufacturing problem, not a styling one. Three points need to agree:
The bail and the link. A pendant bail sized for a 1.5 mm cable chain will slide freely on a curb link of the same nominal width but sit badly on a box chain. We size the bail against the actual link geometry, not the stated chain width.
Plating tone between components. Gold PVD on a cast pendant and gold PVD on a drawn chain can differ visibly when produced at different times or by different suppliers. Running them in the same batch removes that risk, and it is the single most common reason a reorder looks different from the first delivery.
Clasp loading. The clasp is the first failure point. A 4 mm curb chain at 60 cm carries more mass than buyers expect, and a lightweight lobster clasp will fail at the gate before the chain does. We specify the clasp against the finished weight of the piece.
Length and market expectations
Average necklace length differs by market: US buyers lean toward 16–18 inch (40–45 cm) chokers and princess lengths, while German and Nordic buyers often prefer 45–50 cm. Asian markets run shorter, and Middle Eastern markets often favour longer, layered chains. If you sell into more than one region, an extender chain is usually cheaper than maintaining separate SKUs — and it is a detail worth setting at the brief stage, because it changes the clasp assembly.
Pendants
Pendant development is where stainless steel's advantages show most clearly. Flat laser-cut pendants with a mirror face and brushed back are inexpensive to tool and hold a premium look across a wide size range. Hollow-formed pendants reduce weight, but thin walls distort under polishing — we will tell you where that limit sits for your design rather than discovering it in the first bulk run.
