Custom development
Custom men's jewelry.
Signet rings, dog tags, curb chains, cuff bangles and blackened steel pieces. Men's lines are judged on weight, finish quality and restraint — three things that are decided in production, not in design software.

KUBO Jewelry produces custom stainless steel men's jewelry — signet rings, dog tag pendants, curb and Figaro chains, cuff bangles and blackened steel designs — in 304 or 316L, with heavier gauges than standard lines, PVD black and gunmetal finishes, and laser engraving for brand marks.
Men's stainless steel is the category where the material's physical presence matters most. A men's piece that feels light in the hand reads as cheap regardless of how it looks in photography, so weight targets are set at the brief stage and checked again at sample approval.
What men's lines are actually made of
Four product families dominate orders:
Signet rings. The flat face takes a deep engrave, and brushed shoulders with a polished face is the current commercial default. Widths of 10–12 mm at US sizes 9–13 cover most Western markets.
Dog tag pendants. A stainless steel staple. The variable most buyers miss is edge treatment — a chamfered or polished edge on a brushed face lifts the perceived price by a grade without adding meaningful cost.
Heavy curb and Figaro chains. Gauges of 5–12 mm, usually with a brushed or engraved ID plate. Clasp specification matters more here than anywhere else in the range: a heavy chain on a light clasp is a warranty claim waiting to happen.
Blackened pieces. Black PVD over brushed steel, often combined with cable or leather inlay. Black PVD on a poorly polished base shows every fault underneath — the polish and the coating are specified together.
Design notes by market
American buyers skew toward heavier chains and larger signet faces. German and Nordic buyers order lighter gauges with matte finishes. Gulf markets favour gold-tone heavy curb with engraved plates. The same base designs serve all three with different gauge, colour and engraving choices — which is why we treat men's as a specification family rather than a fixed catalogue.
A note on black finishes
Black PVD is the most requested and the most misunderstood finish in this category. What is defensible on a product page is "PVD-coated, wear-resistant". What is not defensible is "permanent colour, scratch-proof" — sustained abrasion wears through any PVD layer, and we will say so at the brief stage rather than let your product copy promise otherwise.
| Specification | Options |
|---|---|
| Material | 304 or 316L stainless steel |
| Chain types | Curb, Figaro, box, rope — heavier gauges than standard lines |
| Chain width | 5 mm to 12 mm typical for men's curb |
| Pendants | Dog tags from 30 × 50 mm, thickness to 2.5 mm |
| Rings | Signets, bands 6–12 mm, US sizes 8–15 |
| Colour | Steel, black, gunmetal, gold; two-tone and cable-inlay builds |
| Surface | Brushed, satin, sandblasted, mirror; combined finishes common |
| Logo method | Laser engraving, etch, stamped; inner-band or reverse-face |
Men's lines live or die on weight. A heavier curb chain costs more per piece in material alone — confirm the target weight per piece at the brief stage, because it drives the gauge of every component downstream, including the clasp.
